Education at Ten Cubed

The Ten Cubed team strongly believe in the potential of contemporary art to enlighten, communicate and educate. Recent studies suggest exposure to art helps students develop broader competencies in language literacy, creativity and critical thinking skills relevant to all areas of academic learning.

We offer a variety of education programs appropriate to various year levels and subject requirements. As a qualified educator, Ten Cubed’s Education Manager is familiar with Victorian curriculum and can work with teachers to adapt and tailor our programs to your requirements.

If your institution is interested in visiting Ten Cubed or incorporating our educational programs into your art curriculum, email Emma at emma@tencubed.com.au to discuss term planning and student learning requirements.

We are currently running a joint education program with Monash University Museum of Art called GOING PUBLIC AND PRIVATE: South Eastern tour for VCE Studio Arts offering a unique education excursion where students experience two contemporary art spaces in Melbourne’s southeast. The program contrasts MUMA, a public art museum, with Ten Cubed, a private non-commercial art gallery. Students meet art professionals and compare how the two organisations curate, present and promote their exhibitions. Students also will be taken behind-the-scenes to see how art is stored and cared for.

If you wish to book a student group contact Melissa Bedford at MUMA: melissa.bedford@monash.edu
