Alasdair McLuckie
6 September – 17 December 2016
Melbourne based artist Alasdair McLuckie was the first artist to have an exhibition at Ten Cubed in March 2013. Now in 2016 he is the first artist to have a second exhibition with the gallery.
McLuckie’s works draw upon modernism and tribalism to create pieces that are quite unique. Combining the mediums of drawing, sculpture and craftwork he explores themes of process, ritual, mythology and primitivism. In this exhibition we will be able to see the development in concepts and ideas throughout his practice from 2013 to 2016.
Represented by Murray White Room. Having graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts with a BA in Fine Art, Alasdair McLuckie’s artworks have also been acquired by MONA, Artbank, Art & Australia and the Monash University Museum of Art.
